This Saturday, April 16, 2011, brings two national recording artists to the stage at The Hangout in Gulf Shores, Alabama. And there’s more to come, as this is just one segment of the free “Road to the Hangout” concert series that continues until The Hangout Beach Music Fest May 20–22.
The hard-rock group Seven Day Sonnet comes by way of Chicago. They will undoubtedly share their new single “Hapless” as part of their Spring Fling Hard Drive Tour, along with other favorites “The Butcher,” “Jamie,” “Preach to Me” and “Sold Your Soul.” The music will begin at 7 p.m., so come early, have dinner and be ready to rock!
Also under the lights will be the Nashville-based ensemble Halo Stereo. A combination of American rock with British-inspired melodies provides the basis of their music, and their use of samples and synthetics gives those tunes a unique spin. Less than a year ago, they were wowing U.S. troops in Japan and South Korea, and now they are bringing music from their newly released EP “Siren Songs” to our island.
