“Follow the Yellow Brick Road” to a memory-filled evening of Broadway songs presented by the Chancel Choir of Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.
Some of your favorite Broadway music will play near the coast Sunday, August 29, 2010.
Although Gulf Shores is a little more than “Forty-Five Minutes from Broadway,” “The Music of the Night” will be taken from four hit Broadway shows: The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Phantom of the Opera and George M! These musicals were carefully chosen to represent music and theater from different eras, enhancing the entertainment impact. You are sure to know some—or maybe all!—of the much-loved songs, making it a fun way to spend one of the year’s last “Summer Nights.”
The tiny $5 donation per ticket for the 7th Annual Evening of Broadway helps to fund not only the music ministry of the church, but also community concerts throughout the year. Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. performance may be purchased ahead of time at the church office or at the door. You’ll find the church on Hwy. 59, next to the Winn Dixie shopping center.
