Do you love animals? More specifically, endangered and exotic animals found in the rainforests? If so, you are about to be treated to a wonder-filled event.
Endangered and exotic rainforest creatures are spending the week of April 16–23, 2011, in Mobile, and they invite you to visit!
For one week only, Mobile’s Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center is home to Rainforest Experience, a traveling exhibit that includes 30-minute shows that will win the hearts of all ages.
Observe and take pictures of a number of rarely seen creatures from the cat, bird, reptile and monkey families. Watch them interact with their trainers as you learn about their natural habitats and habits. You’ll be in awe of their existence within the shrinking acreage of the world’s rainforests.
But hurry—these beautiful creatures are only in town and available for visits between April 16 and 23! Saturday shows are at 11, 1 and 3; Sunday shows are 12:30, 2 and 4; and weekday showtimes are 10, noon and 3.
A bonus to the week is that your general admission ticket includes access to all permanent exhibits as well as a showtime for Rainforest Experience, plus entrance to the current Giant Insects exhibit (available through May 22)!
Tickets are $16 for adults, $15 for youth (ages 13–18) and seniors (60 and over), $14 for children (2–12), and $4 for members. This is a fabulous deal available only through the Exploreum box office. Choose to add an IMAX movie (Bugs: A Rainforest Adventure or Lost Worlds: Life in the Balance) to complete an amazing package that will have everyone exclaiming “Wow!” many times throughout the day.
