Free Halloween Fun for All Ages

As Halloween creeps up on us, two free community events offer your family a head start on spooktacular celebrations.

Two free family events help you start celebrating Halloween 2011 a little early.

From 5:30 until 8:30 this Thursday, October 27, the streets of downtown Foley will be buzzing with activity. Along with a costume contest for all ages, you’ll find games, a cake walk, face painting, treats, a bounce house, prize drawings and more. Admission is free, but bring along a little fun money for concessions (proceeds benefit the Boy Scouts), etc.

On Saturday, October 29, between 6 and 8 p.m., munch on free popcorn and pick up a free goodie bag at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center in Gulf Shores. But that’s not all! Carnival games (50 cents per ticket), a dunking booth, a cake walk, and of course a costume contest will round out the evening. And for the brave ghouls, follow the Haunted Trail ($2 per person).

Don your costumes and let the moon light your way to a scary good time at both Halloween celebrations.
