The official holiday may be July 4, but at The Hangout in Gulf Shores you are encouraged to celebrate all weekend long.

Celebrate with games and music all weekend at the All-American 4th of July event at The Hangout in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Be a kid again as you participate or cheer on competitors in the wiffle ball tournament. Get your fill of watermelon without worrying about how much ends up on your face, arms or clothes when you compete for top honors in the eating contest. Try your hand at tossing water balloons—it may be harder than you think! Show your strength and agility during the limbo, hula-hoop and tug-of-war games. Find out whether wearing a frozen T-shirt on a hot day is refreshing or just downright cold. Test your skill at tossing whipped cream pies, and play in the foam mountain or sand pile.
You can be as engaged or as separated from the activities as you choose in this spacious indoor/outdoor setting where Hwy. 59 meets the beach. Either way, the weekend will be underscored by great music each evening. Catch the band Crooked 11 on Friday at 7:00, then stay for Mario Mena at 11 p.m. Saturday’s schedule has The Park Band at 7 followed by Foxy Iguanas at 11. Sunday brings Rumor Mill to the stage at 7:00 and Mario Mena at 11:00. Monday’s lineup begins again with Rumor Mill at 7:00 then features Crucial Rhyme at 11 p.m. (Must be 21 or older after 11 p.m.)
All ages will have a great time escaping from the daily routines and worries. That’s what The Hangout is all about! No matter what hour—starting with breakfast that includes Pirates and Princesses shows at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30, and ending with late-night music until 2:00 a.m.—you’ll find The Hangout a lively change of pace for kids and the kid inside.
